Alkali-Resistant Glass Fibres
Alkali-Resistant Glass Fibres are highly durability when used in cement-based products. The alkali resistance is achieved by using zirconia. These fibers are special glass fibers that won’t break down, even when in contact with alkaline concrete. They can be used for plastic shrinkage control and reinforcement. To deal with BOTH at the same time a mix of shorter 12mm fibers at a dose of 500gm per cubic meter is added AND longer strands of 24 to 36 mm is added at a dose rate of 5 kg per cubic meter for the reinforcement.
