DIESEL TEC AND PETROL TEC
Top End Cleaner. Combustion engines must meet increasingly stringent environmental requirements and yet are supposed to emit less and less harmful exhaust gases, such as for example nitrogen oxides (NOx). For this reason, car manufacturers are continuously devising new advanced solutions. One of the solutions is to reduce the emission of harmful gasses using Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR). With exhaust gas recirculation part of the exhaust gasses are captured and redirected to the combustion chambers in the engine. The dirty exhaust gasses are mixed in the engine with fresh intake air. As a result of mixing, the quantity of oxygen in the intake air decreases and the combustion chamber is filled with gas, which does not undergo a chemical reaction. As a result of this the heat generated during combustion has to be dissipated over a greater mass and consequently the combustion temperature drops. NOx occurs in particular at high combustion temperatures. Because the combustion temperature drops through the application of EGR, the quantity of NOx also drops. More soot as result of less nitrogen. Chemical reactions are continuously taking place due to the combustion process. If the quantity of nitrogen oxides decreases, this chemical reaction causes soot. For diesel engines the quantity of soot is higher than in the case of petrol engines. The soot adheres to the components such as the articulating EGR valve, which determines how much soot re-enters the engine, the intake manifold and the valve seats, pistons and piston rings on the intake valves. Eventually the EGR valve will seize up, and the closing action of the valves will deteriorate...

Pink Australian Clay (Bulk)
Pink Australian Clay has a lower iron content than the red clay hence the lighter colour. This essential minerals to help replenish and regenerate the epidermis of the skin to create softened and conditioned skin with a healthy glow. The clay can be blended with other clays for different properties and effect or used as a stand-alone additive for face and body masks. To form a paste, mix approximately a teaspoon of Pink Australian Clay with 1/3 tsp of water to form a paste. Mix until colour is unform. Due to natural variation this product in its dry powder form may appear to look extremely pale, however when incorporated into formulas or mixed with a liquid the colour develops into a deep pink colour. Whilst mixing with liquid one may notice slight streaking of colour, which is normal, and the product should be mixed until a uniform colour is achieved. Note: In late 2018 the mine extracting the Australian pink clay was closed due to exhausting the natural clay desposits. In order to maintain supply of the same specification product New Directions commenced manufacturing the pink clay from Australian mined kaolin and Ironoxide pigment. This produces a clay with the same characteristics and chemistry and the original product but via a slightly different process. Group: Clay. Alternative Names: Kaolin, Aqua, CI 77491, CI 77499. Plantaserv D (Bulk)
Benefits: Antimicrobial, skin conditioning, viscosity modifying. Applications: Odour Mask, Nature-identical preservative system, skin conditioning (hydrating). Origin: This blend contains nature-identical chemical components that are derived from a range of sources. The plant derived equivalent is Plantaserv C. Solubility: Water Soluble. Heat Stability: Relatively good can be added into your product at temperatures up to 80C. pH range: 4.5-5.5 is ideal but we have had success with products that have pH ranges slightly outside of this (3-6). Always be sure to run Preservative Efficacy Testing before settling on your formulation. Use Level: 3-4%. Do not exceed 4% in your formulation. Microbes Targeted: Broad-Spectrum (Bacteria, Yeast and Mould). Like many natural preservatives, this is slower to act than some of our synthetic options and as such could become overwhelmed in more challenging environments when used as the stand-alone preservative. Some examples of high risk formulations include those containing pigments (Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, mica, clays etc), those containing herbs or proteins. Group: Preservatives. Alternative Names: Glycerin,Aqua,Levulinic Acid,Sodium Hydroxide,p-Anisic Acid... . While we are happy to pass on information and make theoretical recommendations of how to get the best out of our ingredients we can make no guarantees without this testing. There are two levels of test that a microbiological lab will do - one is a micro count which gives you a 'moment in time' look at the cleanliness of your formula and may also characterise the microbes present. The second is a Preservative Efficacy Test or PET. This is highly recommended as it tests how your product performs over time when it is challenged by microbes. You are legally requir
