| Alkaline Cleaning Powder | ALKALINE CLEANING POWDER is an off-white powder with a pine odour and is formulated to remove paint, carbon, oils, grease and other obstinate soils from copper and ferrous metal. Use via soak tank method. ALKALINE CLEANING POWDER should be mixed slowly into cold water. Agitate to make sure all product is thoroughly dissolved. The bath should be constructed of mild steel and have a drain at the bottom of the tank to make dislodging and draining easier. Alloys and amphoteric metals cannot be used in this bath as they will react and seriously impair the solution performance. ALKALINE CLEANING POWDER should be used at 100gms per litre of water at 80 °C if possible. Parts should be immersed the solution and agitated if an agitator is fitted to the bath. Parts should be rinsed with water to flush away residual product after removing from the bath. Use 100 to 200gms of the product to a litre of water if a cold and still bath is necessary. | Green French Clay (Bulk) | A conditioning and nourishing clay for all skin types. Green French Clay is especially useful in formulas for sebum control. Great for face and body masks. Green French Clay has a mixed mineral origin: Kaolinite or kaolin clays can be coloured if the surrounding soil is rich in minerals. Some of these minerals have beneficial properties for the skin while others don't so much. All Kaolinites are reasonably good drawing agents as they pull toxins from the skin. Kaolin is often used as a base for clay masks due to it being well tolerated by most people. Illite is a mica type mineral occurring in argillaceous sediments with Illite being a general term for the clay minerals from this type of sediment. Argillaceous minerals appear silver-like due to their fine grain structure and trace metal constituent. Montmorillonite is a very soft phyllosilicate (silicate minerals making up 90% of the crust of the earth based on silicone and oxygen) that forms in microscopic crystals. These clays swell in water and can be used to thicken and stabilise emulsions. This clay will swell a little in water. 100% natural mineral which is allowed to be used in COSMOS formulas. Manufacturing Process: The clay undergoes a mechanical treatment, without any chemical process. It is crushed and dried. Formulation Tips: 5 - 40% in masks. Blends well with other clays. For best results, wet into the water phase prior to the addition of thickeners or oil phase. Can be added to a finished emulsion with good homogenisation. Homogenisation is recommended. Group: Clay.
