Fibres for concrete Bisley offers a range fibers for concrete such as Alkali-Resistant Glass Fibres, E-Glass Fibres, Cellulose Fibres, Polyacrylic Nitrile (PAN) Fibres, Polyethylene (PE) Fibres, Polypropylene (PP) Fibres, Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) Fibres for various purposes as admixtures, including reinforcement, insulation, and prevention of shrinkage and cracking in concrete. These fibers play a crucial role in thickening and stabilizing the cement paste, enhancing its body and performance. Acting as an internal three-dimensional net, they provide support to the aggregate, reducing settlement and minimizing bleedwater. Available in diverse grades, shapes, sizes, weights, and specifications, these fibers offer versatility to cater to specific project requirements, ensuring enhanced durability and performance in construction applications. Trading Locations; Sydney, Houston, Dubai, Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. Bisley & Co
Alkali-Resistant Glass Fibres Alkali-Resistant Glass Fibres are highly durability when used in cement-based products. The alkali resistance is achieved by using zirconia. These fibers are special glass fibers that won’t break down, even when in contact with alkaline concrete. They can be used for plastic shrinkage control and reinforcement. To deal with BOTH at the same time a mix of shorter 12mm fibers at a dose of 500gm per cubic meter is added AND longer strands of 24 to 36 mm is added at a dose rate of 5 kg per cubic meter for the reinforcement. Basalt fibre Basalt fibre is used in composties to provide flexural strength. Uses: It's often used in concrete. it doesn't degrade in the alkaline conditions that occur in concrete unlike normal glass fibre. also, most polymer fibres only give strength in the drying stages of the concrete whereas basalt fibre continues to give strength. also, unlike steel fibre, basalt fibre doesn't corrode. Group: Chemicals. Grades: 5, 12 and 24 mm lengths as well as roving. Each comes in several grades with different sizing. Molecular formula: Various grades are available. The differences amongst the grades is the fibre length and the sizing on the fibre. The sizing affects how it adheres to the matrix. Hangarau Pty

Basalt rebar Used where steel rebar is used, but unlike steel basalt rebar doesn't corode. Uses: Basalt fibre doesn't corode and is very much lighter in weight than steel rebar. one example of a benefit of this is that it can be placed closer to the surface of the concrete and this provides more bending strength. Group: Chemicals. Grades: It comes in various thicknesses and lengths. Thicknesses of 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 14 are available. Hangarau Pty

Sodium thiocyanate Sodium thiocyanate 50% is a clear colourless liquid. Uses: Sodium thiocyanate is used as a concrete hardener accelerator and can be used with other accelerators. It is used as a corrosion inhibitor, in synthetic fibre production, electroplating and pesticide. They are used as auxiliaries in fibre production, in agricultural processes and in the chemical industry. Group: Concrete accelerator, admixture. CAS No. 540-72-7. Pack Sizes: IBCs. Trading Locations; Sydney, Houston, Dubai, Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. Bisley & Co
